Tulsi Gabbard Warns of Rising Nuclear War Risk After Hiroshima Visit and Viral Video
Dubai | June 12, 2025 | 1 | newsTulsi Gabbard, the U.S. Director of National Intelligence, has posted a strong warning on social media. In her video, she talks about the increasing risk of nuclear war. This message is very different from previous comments made by Donald Trump.
Visit to Hiroshima Inspires Serious Message
Recently, Gabbard visited Hiroshima, Japan. She saw the damage caused by the atomic bomb in World War II. The visit left her with “haunting sadness.” She believes that today’s political tensions are bringing the world dangerously close to nuclear disaster.
“We are closer to nuclear annihilation than ever before,” Gabbard said.
Nuclear Attack Simulation Raises Awareness
The three-minute video shows Gabbard visiting important sites in Hiroshima. It also includes a simulation of a nuclear attack on San Francisco, destroying the Golden Gate Bridge. She stressed that this is not science fiction but a real danger.
Gabbard Blames Political Leaders
Gabbard criticized political leaders and war supporters. She said they are creating fear and conflict between nuclear-armed nations. She believes that some leaders feel safe because they have access to nuclear shelters, while most people do not.
She urged people to take action:
“We must say no to nuclear war and build a peaceful world.”
Different from Trump’s Comments on Nuclear War
Gabbard’s warning is very different from what Trump said in the past. In 2016, Trump criticized Obama for visiting Hiroshima and said there was no need to apologize for using the atomic bomb.
In 2024, Trump again spoke about Hiroshima in New Hampshire. He called it “not a nice act,” but said it “probably ended World War II.”
Shared Goals for Peace Despite Differences
Despite their different words, Gabbard and Trump both want to avoid war. Gabbard’s deputy chief of staff, Alexa Henning, explained:
“DNI Gabbard fully supports President Trump’s mission for peace and preventing war.”
Gabbard’s Longstanding Concerns on Nuclear Conflict
Gabbard has warned about nuclear risks before. In her 2019 presidential campaign, she criticized Trump for leaving the Iran nuclear deal. She said this move brought the U.S. closer to conflict with Iran.
In 2024, after supporting Trump’s campaign, Gabbard shifted her focus to President Joe Biden. She blamed Biden’s administration for starting conflicts worldwide and raising the risk of nuclear war.
A Call for Peace
Gabbard’s message is clear. The threat of nuclear weapons is real. She urges leaders to choose diplomacy over war and for citizens to demand lasting peace.
