According to reports, Colonel (retd) Ishaq Qazi was driving with his daughter when their vehicle got caught in a powerful water current while trying to cross a flooded seasonal stream (nullah). Eyewitnesses say the two called for help from inside the car before it was pulled under by the force of the water.
Rescue teams have launched a full-scale search operation, but as of now, both remain missing.
