Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued a warning about moderate to heavy rainfall expected across several regions of the country until Friday.

The impacted areas include:
- Makkah
- Riyadh

- Tabuk
- Hail
- Qassim
- Eastern Province
- Northern Borders
- Al Jouf
- Al Baha
- Asir
Authorities Urge Caution
The Civil Defense has advised residents to stay safe, avoid flood-prone areas, and refrain from swimming in valleys. Officials urge the public to follow official weather updates for the latest alerts and safety instructions.
Schools and Universities Shift to Online Learning
Due to the heavy rain forecast, the Makkah Education Department has suspended in-person classes for students in Makkah, Al Jumum, Al Kamil, and Bahra. Classes will be conducted remotely through the Madrasati platform.
Additionally, Umm Al Qura University has announced a shift to remote learning on Tuesday, in line with the National Center of Meteorology’s predictions. This applies to all university campuses, offices, and colleges in the Makkah region.
